North Dakota Badlands

Theodore Roosevelt, the nation’s 26th President, loved the North Dakota Badlands.  His experiences in the Badlands shaped his adult life, directed him to the Presidency and on to become one of the world's leading land conservationists.

"It was here that the romance of my life began."
~~Theodore Roosevelt

"MALTESE CROSS CABIN"
This was Theodore Roosevelt's home when
he came to North Dakota. It had 3 very small rooms
and was considered a mansion for the time period.
